INVESTMENT ANALYST

Investment Analysts at ASAM play a crucial role in driving investment pitch ideas and contributing to the fund’s overall strategy. This program is designed for individuals with a passion for funds management, equipping them with the key skills needed to succeed as an analyst in public markets.

Analysts are expected to develop deep expertise in a specific company, industry, or field of interest, sourcing new investment opportunities while conducting ongoing research on existing portfolio positions to ensure alignment with ASAM’s investment mandate.

Key responsibilities

  • Monitor financial markets, with a focus on Australian equities

  • Identify and source investment opportunities in public markets

  • Conduct analysis and due diligence to support investment pitches

  • Attend conferences, workshops, and educational events as required

  • Engage with senior stakeholders, including Portfolio Managers and the Investment Committee, to present ideas, pitch investments, and receive training


Business Team Member

Business Team Members at ASAM are essential to both its day-to-day operations and long-term growth. Working alongside the Chief Operations Officer (COO), they help create a seamless, high-performing environment that enables the fund to operate effectively.

This role offers firsthand experience in fund operations, providing opportunities to collaborate with industry professionals and tackle real-world challenges. ASAM seeks motivated individuals to join its Marketing or Fund Raising teams.

Key responsibilities

Marketing

  • Support the Head of Marketing in creating and designing content for Instagram, LinkedIn, and Facebook to enhance ASAM’s digital presence

  • Assist in developing PR materials for both internal and external use, ensuring consistent branding and messaging

  • Collaborate with the COO to plan, organise, and execute events, including networking sessions, educational workshops, and industry engagements

Fund Raising

  • Work closely with the Head of Fundraising to develop and implement strategies for securing capital for the fund

  • Build and manage relationships with industry professionals, including investors, corporate sponsors, and finance sector leaders

  • Liaise with the board, providing updates on fundraising efforts and aligning strategies with ASAM’s long-term goals

  • Applicants based in Sydney, Australia – While there are no restrictions on applicants from other cities, ASAM is headquartered in Sydney, and our events and workshops are conducted in person. Non-Sydney applicants must clearly demonstrate their ability and commitment to participate in these events.
