Australian Students Asset Management (ASAM) is a Public Ancillary Fund registered with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission. ASAM offers students a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in funds management, complementing the theory learned in the classroom and preparing them to become well-rounded graduates ready to enter the industry.

What we do

ASAM invests ideas generated by student stock picks into real capital managed by our Investment Committee.

Many students graduate with a strong theoretical foundation but often struggle to apply this knowledge in real-world settings. ASAM bridges this gap by offering students the chance to gain practical experience in a fully functional and fiscally responsible funds management business while still at university.

As a public ancillary fund, ASAM is committed to donating 4% of funds under management to registered Australian charities each year. The charities selected for these donations will be chosen by our Board of Directors.

Charities will be considered based on their ability to demonstrate impact, their alignment with ASAM’s values, and other relevant criteria. This ensures that our contributions are directed to organizations making a meaningful difference in the community.
